Every time I visit San Francisco I’m blown away by the food scene. The city is literally overflowing with epicurean delights. Chef Gerald Hirigoyen has broken through all the noise and clutter with Piperade, serving “West Coast Basque Cuisine.” The servers are well trained and extremely helpful with making reccomendations from the menu and paring wines that enhance your meal instead of distract from it. Dishes are French Basque in origin but with influences that are distinctly Californian. It’s a perfect spot to have an intimate date or a double date with close friends. Our favorite dishes are shown below, but make sure to order the bacon wrapped dates (not shown), they will change your life.
