As most of you know I love a good pairing and I really love me some bourbon, so when Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia invited me to try their Chef's Kitchen Dinner celebrating bourbon I was 100% on board. If you aren't familiar, their Chef's Kitchen Dinners are monthly dinners curated around a spirit, wine or beer. To me a pairing is pointless if it doesn't improve the taste of BOTH the food and the drink...and I was NOT disappointed! Chef Cesar Corral and mixologist Luke Detraz turned it out! They collaboratively crafted a menu elevated with bourbon...and I mean, look at these shots...everything was beautiful! We loved that the meal is served at one long table, so it ends up being a fun social event. You actually get to know the people you are sitting with, and true to form we ended up making friends with everyone!
I recommend turning this into a mini-staycation like we did. Having a fabulous dinner with Erik, enjoying new iterations of my favorite spirit and making new friends was elevated by being footsteps away from our comfortable room. When you book the reservation, let them know you are coming for the dinner and that you would like a room close by. Trust, you will thank me after.
